Procedure

I. Introduction

2. Ask students about their experiences with light.

II. Light as a Form of Energy 

1. Explain that light is a form of energy.

2. Discuss the different sources of light (e.g., sun, bulb, candle).

III. Making a Plane Mirror 

1. Demonstrate how to make a plane mirror using a glass plate and metal coating.

2. Discuss the properties of a plane mirror.


IV. Reflection of Light 

1. Explain the laws of reflection:

    1. The incident ray, reflected ray, and normal are coplanar.

    2. The angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.

2. Define key terms related to reflection:

    1. Incident ray

    2. Reflected ray

    3. Normal

    4. Angle of incidence

    5. Angle of reflection

V. Ray Diagrams 

1. Explain how to draw ray diagrams for:

    1. Point objects

    2. Extended objects

2. Discuss the nature of the image formed by a plane mirror:

    1. Virtual

    4. Laterally inverted

VI. Lateral Inversion 

1. Explain the concept of lateral inversion.
